please dont laught at me cause i dont know what these things are called.... but the are on all the shelby gt's that i see and they are wires that attach to the hood and look like they hold the hood down? what are the purpose of these things? and would it be bad if i put them on my regular gt cause they look sick?

You can buy the stick on type to get rid of drilling a hole, the main purpose of these pinsis to keep your hood from flying up at high speeds....the other purpose (more commonly used for ) is looks....

22Kart where did you get your fake ones? and how much?

 

I think the fake ones are actually more expensive than the real pins. At least they were when I got my pins.
I have real pins by Ford Racing and they were like $40. The fakes were about $60.

I've had these things for a few months now but never installed them. I really don't want to drill into my hood myself.
Maybe one day I'll get them installed somewhere. I'd like to have them installed in the same position as the Shelby GT's
pins but I noticed the Shelby has them installed on these little metal bars that are bolted down where that plastic thingy
is when you open the hood. I took some pics of it with my phone (last time I was at the dealer), now I need to figure out
how to get those pics on my PC.

 

Woot. I found my MicroSD->SD adapter which allowed me to take my phone's microSD card and read it on my PC (which has a 12-in-1 memory card reader in the floppy slot).

I figured I'd post these images incase someone needs reference images for hood pins.
