they replace the stock head lights and foglights. the 9145ST are foglights and the h13's are headlights. You simply take the old bulbs out and put these in.

P.S. Do NOT touch the bulbs with your bare hand. Make sure you are wearing gloves. If you get the oils from your hand on these bulbs, they can explode/shatter or not work at all when you turn them on. The oil from your hands are detrimental to the bulb
That's true of any halogen bulb, if you read the warning (and let's face it, there's a lot of us out there - myself included - that don't read the warnings/instructions the first time around).

As for the size, H13 bulbs are the bulb number you need. The H13ST is Sylvania's designation to state that they're H13 size Silverstar bulbs. If you look at Autozone, Checker/Shucks/Kragen, Pep Boys, etc. and see the Sylvania brand bulbs, you'll see, for example, H13, H13CB, H13ST, H13SU (well, not yet on the H13SU, because they haven't released the Ultras yet for the H13 size). H13 is the stock replacement; H13CB is the H13 in a Cool Blue color (similar to those blue bulbs that are popular with the ricer crowd), H13ST is the Silverstar, and H13SU would be Silverstar Ultra (except they're not being made yet, per Sylvania's website).

I've heard people saying that the bulbs don't last anywhere near as long as the stock bulbs, but I had a set in my 2002 Saturn for 4 years, never had a bulb go out; a week after I got my Mustang I put the Silverstars in and they're still going strong after over a year. My dad put them in his BMW 6 months ago (the orignal bulbs were dim) and they're still going strong. They seem to be holding up pretty good for me...

Yes, I noticed the bids started at 10 bucks... what's the usual price for a PAIR of these H13's at retail stores?

I guess some folks will bid up higher to avoid having to wait in line at Autozone behind people who don't drive Mustangs!

Considering that is for a two pack, this is much cheaper than they normally are for two at Auto Zone, etc.....
