Default headers

So I'm looking to buy some headers for my next mod. I was leaning towards kooks longtubes, but i really don't know what to buy. My exhaust setup so far is magnaflow magnapacks and a custom hi-flow x-pipe. Can anyone help me decide on what type is the best, and preferably, the best for my setup? I'm relatively new to the site, but thanks to anyone who replies..

well, kooks are actually mid-length, but they are up there with ARH as the best. For your setup, idk, hopefully AmericanMuscle will see this one and chime in, go the the exhaust thread and listen to a few of the different ones. And by the way, is yours a V6 or a GT?

Kooks are, like burnsy said, mid-length. That swayed my decision to JBA's. Folks like to say how great their Kooks fit, but they're mid-length; of course they're going to fit great! The JBA's REQUIRE new motor mounts, but it can be done while the headers are installed because they (or you) will have to raise the engine anyway to get them in easily.

They fit up nice and tight under the frame rails and sound GREAT with an open (no/hiflow cats) exhaust. Love my JBA's.

I actually went and purchased a Sony Handycam dvd-308 just to get some action pics of my car w/ exhaust. The cops out here in central TX are constantly looking for someone to lock up. As soon as I get the time to find a place to take some vids I will. I've got a 4-day weekend coming up maybe I'll take the time and post some. It sounds VERY good!!!

Any one know if kooks are less likely to throw a code cause they are shorter & put the o2 sensors closer to engine & heat up faster. I'd rather not turn them off cause I'll fail inspection.

have the kooks with catted x pipe....no code issues....then again. my car is totally retuned with the other parts...sorry....I did not have codes with them at all though when I first had them installed prior to tune etc....LOVE THE KOOKS...
