Default MGW Concept Shift ****

I finally got tired of yanking on this Hurst shifter and ordered me an MGW. Got both the shift levers, saw this thing and decided to go ahead and get one too. I ordered the "polished" concept shift ****.

What do you guys think about this thing? Figured if I hate it I can just retain my Hurst ball.

I think these new shifter ***** from MGW will be the way I go when I upgrade shifters in the spring. Probably go with the white one.

[:'(] MGW's shifters ROCK, but that ****, well, I'm not so sure about it. Maybe it'll look better in person, or maybe it feels so good in your hand it doesn't matter. But I think it looks like hell. Plus the fact that it's metal means it'll be hot/cold depending on the temp. Nothing I'd hate more than to be grabbing a 140* shift **** just so I can drive the car...

I kept the stock **** with my MGW. The whole thing looks stock. Until you grip it and rip it.. Then you know the difference immediately..

Hey, yeah I do like those MGW "cue ball" shift *****. We'll see about this "concept" shifter. If it's comfy enough I may not care what it looks like . Otherwise I'll just pawn it off on Ebay. Since it's stock threads it shouldn't be too hard to sell it to somebody.

As for the heat issue, I think due to the design of the MGW with the adjuster bracket too much heat shouldn't resonate up. We'll see very soon.... I'll post up my thoughts of it after it's installed next weekend. I'm really excited just to be getting rid of this Hurst. I hate it more and more every day.

I don't like the concept one, but I do like the que ball type.

Thats not what I meant about heat.. My stock shift **** is hot enough after parking in the summer sun... But a metal one? Ouch...

Oh, I see. My hurst shift handle got so hot via the radiated heat that I had to insulate it with several layers of dynamat material. That got rid of my heat problem.

As far as UV heat, I park in a garage both at work/home and my windows are tinted w/ceramic tint so it's a non-issue.

From what I have read, the concept shift **** supposedly has a great shift feel with the MGW shifter, but I have struggled to buy in to the look....
Now that they are releasing the cue ball shifter, there is no way I would go with the concept **** over the que ball ****. The que ball **** is one piece, no threading required. So it makes it nice and easy to change between MGW shift *****. I currently use the MGW gripper ****, and would be hard pressed to part with it.....Love the feel and function.....

Congrats on your new shifter, you will love it......
