STEP ONE...get a how to book and teach yourself something about electrical curcuits. the fire you prevent may be your own!! there are a few empty slots in the under hood fuse panel that can be used. i tapped my fogs into one, just add the output wire and a fuse and you have a power source. be sure to use one that has the right size wire for your application. you have to be careful piggybacking on another circuit for fear of overloading it if multiple components are running simultaniuosly. and definitly dont tap into anything feeding power to or grounding a computer.
I was going to hook my gauges to the powerpoint ... but it turns out it was hot all the time ... not switched. The owners manual also states not to leave stuff plugged into them too long because you could drain the battery ...

yeah, i know a lot about electronics, hence why I wanted to setup a seperate power source for all my gauges and the carPC thats going in the car.. i didnt want to pull all the power from an add-a-circuit in a fuse box I just wanted to know the best way to setup the new power system, and that small fuse box i found is the best way, i was basicly going to make one of those myself.

hey that looks perfect! nice find
its pretty much exactly what i was going to put together manually, a couple inline fuses, a monster power splitter, and a relay to switch it all on.. this is going to be MUCH cleaner

Here is an update for anyone interested in doing this..

here is the fuse box, bigger than it looks in the pictures for sure.. i have big hands as a reference

here is where i decided to install it.. up behind the glovebox..

and then here it is with the glove box reinstalled..

I finished it off by zip tieing the unused wires up farther, and this is with the camera sitting on the seat, so from a normal viewing height its completly invisible.

The last thing i have to figure out, is to find a switched power location to turn on the relay, that doesnt turn off then on when i crank the car.. my gauges need to be on for a split second before the car is started, and right now i turn the key on, the gauges calidrate, then when i crank the car they switch off and on really fast and get an incorrect calibration
