My '06 has the little "hat" thing over the end of the bulb, I think this is a glare shield. Like I said, I didn't get flashed at all. I thought Todd offered the ceramic paint glare shield on the end of the bulb. No?

I want this kit. Isnt there some sort of group buy going on? I'm ready to purchase.
Also, I have an 06.. does this mean I have this shield? Are there any write-ups on installation??

I just got my kit it the mail, going to do the install now. I do have one question, the instructions show hooking up the + and - up to the battery but I only have the + or hot with the inline fuse on the relay, no neg wire coming out of the relay...but I do have what looks like a ground connection to each of the bulb sockets. Any help Goldenpony? thanks

Each bulb will have its own ground. There is a nice bolt right near the headlight that holds the fender on....works good.
I hooked up the power to the fuse box post.

Thanks, just got finished with the wiring, great tip on the fusebox post, was thinking about hooking up to battery, but the power wire was alittle too short. Great kit, truly a plug and play on the 05 and 06 with the black shield in the headlite housing. I hope that Retro-Solutions can come up with a shield for the ones that dont have it.
Now my fogs look real dim and yellow, might try the Bullitt grill now

Every time I drive at night I love my new HIDs even more. I have Silverstars in the fogs and used to think they were great, now next to the HIDs, they look like a lighted match. Still haven't been flashed even once. I love to watch them fire up too.
