The TruTrac is a Torque Sensitive Helical LSDthat has a very high bias ratio of around 3.5 (Double the factory unit).

However it does fit into that category instead of the (Worm) Geared Torque-Sensitive Differential like a Torsen or Quaife ATB.

Most of the Road Racing Guys I know use Quaife ATB (Not Cheap) but last I heard they dont make a 31 spline only 28

can't you change to 31 spline also?
You mean change to 28 spline sohe could use the Quaife? People have been screaming for 31 spline axles in the mustang for years and now you'd go and change them back to 28's .

I'm running 20's and liked the way my car accelerated with the factory 17's. 4.10's should get me back there. I'm also contemplating 3.90's dunno yet. I keep hearing such great things about the torque sensing diff's I decided I want one. The gears are a second thought actually. I may just go with the 3.90's...
3.90 means Motive/FRPP gears as Ford/FRPP gears are not available in that ratio. Just 3.73/4.10.

Ifyou are going to run manyopen track eventsand are using stock brakes you are likely going to end up running 17 x 9 Wheels and 275/40R17 Tires (25.6") like the NT555RII as they are readily available at a reasonable price. In this size 3.55 works really well. 136 mph at 6500 rpm (The rpm limit I would observe given the stress of continous high rpm). 5th is never going to be a strong gear.
Even with 4.30's

The stock brakes actually work pretty well if you set them up for cooling ducts up front+mild track pads + high temp fluid.

I think that was meant in jest but just to be clear.

No I just meant they didnt make a 31 spline. None of the Roadrace (actually open track) guys i know have S197's.
They all have Cobra R's or Terminators.

Actually I've been looking hard at some Wedssport wheels in 18x9 (18.5lbs ea.) and 275/40-18 tires.

My brakes will probably get some upgraded rotors drilled and/or slotted stock size and s/s brake lines w/ Hawk HPS ceramic pads.

And this suspension kit will be going on along with some adjustable upper/lower lcas and MM caster/camber plates:

If you can get a connection you can get scrubs from some of the World Challenge teams in 285/35R18 I believe.

Have you looked at the Raceline GT Forged? I guessits my age but Im kind of fond of the Modernized Halibrand look.

Drilled Rotors are not SCCA legal because of the cracking issues.

I'd love to do some autocrossing events but I gotta put this car on a diet first! I actually freed up a lot of weight with the exhaust and driveshaft swaps then added it back in the form of 20' wheels/tires and audio equipment. I need to put this thing on the scales (I work at USDOT and could use the local truck stop scales) just to see what I'm at now. I'm sure it's ~3700lbs....

I saw the link you posted of them the other day (I think those were the ones). Beautiful rims, yes they were. Fikse would be my first choice, but I'm not that wealthy (yet). I have to check the SCCA rulebook if I'm ever going to race. Same thing happened to me when I decided I was going to get into shooting sports (IPSC). Went out there with a modified glock and couldn't shoot in the division I wanted to. Had to end up shooting with the guys in modified and getting my butt kicked .
