VerginaStang - it's all fun and games until I blow the doors offf your black piece of poop come this Spring
those are fighting words, technically you are calling my car a black piece of poop too. I have the same black/tan combo as Vinny and JLT with Bama Tunes. Just for that I hope you miss a shift not that it matters, because you aren't getting traction anyway. Traction FTMFW!!!

but in all seriousness, try getting some relocation brackets and definitely some better tires. I still wanna hear those ARH's in person
We'll all meet up soon and you can listen all you want....

If you are not experiencing wheel hop then the LCA are doing their job. Relocation brackets will restore the correct angle of the LCA mounting points after lowering a car, which will reduce the added wheel hop that usually occurs after lowering. You have not mentioned wheel hop, just spinning your tires for an exagerated amount of time.

What size tire do you run in the back? Saying you are running nittos doesn't mean much if they are 255 wide. Plus, its cold in NYC. You would get better traction in the cold if you ran a softer tire, like a snow tire.

If you are driving a 285 wide nitto 555 then it if mostly the cold factor than is causing you to spin so much. Putting a drag radial on in the winter is asking for a crash to happen.

I love all this modern tweeker/tuner ideas, tires tires tires and a bracket. Where are all the old bracket racers here?
Current Mustang suspensions are setup for ANYTHING but drag racing traction.

1) Moroso drag racing shocks front and rear In the old days we would put worn out old junk yard shocks up front, crap for turning but it lets your front end fly up on when launching off the line.

2) remove your front and rear sway bars You need a loose suspension that allows weight transfer, Hasn't anyone thought about why Pro-stock and Pro-street type cars squat so much when they launch?

3) move your battery to the trunk install on side that torque lifts to help keep that side planted down

4) More then you may want to do but change your motor mounts and move your engine back a few inches this will help your launches also

Hahahahaa Thats sucks! Here you go bro these should help a lot: http://store.roushperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=772

Its a roush wheel hop reduction kit for drag and low traction conditions. It sucks when youre just burning rubber and staying in one place while the other car is3 car lenghts ahead already.
Has anyone seen a performance evaluation on this Roush kit? Not much info on Roush's website.

I would like to know more about this too. Anybody bought one?

Actually you don't want to remove the rear sway bar.
It helps plant both tires to the ground.
