HURST
our cars come with a little bit of preload for centering the shifter in the pattern (right between 2nd and 3rd gear). If you take your shifter in neutral, you have to either pull if towards you for 1st, or push for 5th and R. That's somehow built into the transmission, because if you take an uninstalled hurst shifter, it freely moves ina circular pattern. Now take an uninstalled MGW and you can't do that (if I remember right...), becuase it has it's own internal tension on top of what's built into the transmission. So it's even harder to miss third gear, because the shifter almost wants to do it for you. Speed shifting becomes much easier. Make sense?
I havemy stock oneshipped for $7
. Im going with the tri axe. I was playing with it at the PRI car show. cant wait. I feel as If im going to break something shifting wih the hurst. Thats some good prices though.
