Has anyone else noticed that the new engine ticks rather loudly when idleing for a while??? Sounds like bad lifters.

Or is it just mine? I only have about 400 miles on mine and am afraid that maybe I didn't break it in long enough??

Anyone with info would be appreciated.

Mine does the same. My mechanic told me it's normal. 5,800 miles and no problems with mine.

 

My buddy had the same noise. On startup 2 weeks ago a big cloud of black smoke out of the pipes, and when his wife was coming home from work it hesitated almost to a stal before accelerating. It is now in the shop and they told him a minnimum of 3 weeks to get fixed, but no diagnosis yet.
