I looked into this as a possibility. I wanted to widen my rear stock bullets to 10 or 10.5.

$250 - $300 per wheel plus shipping and the wheels would be gone for two weeks. I decided I needed a new plan .

On a related note: I don't think 11.5s will fit into the wheel wells.

Justin from VMP Tuning widened the GT500 wheels to 11.5" in the rear. I believe he was using a 335 !! But he also said he had to do a few modifications to make it work. If you look at his website in the forums, you can find pictures etc. Unless you need the traction, why?

cost is about $200 for two inches on a 18" rim... a 20" could be more. (plus shipping)

Send an email to James@weldcraftwheels http://www.weldcraftwheels.com/

they have the best reputation for this work. I was going to have it done as well... but a new tire came out and solved my issue.

11.5 wide is going to require some modification. 11" seems to work.... seen a 315 on a 11" rim had maybe 1/2 clearance.

Oh okay. Thanks guys. I think it would be easier to get two 17x10.5 wheels.

I'm pretty sure he's going to be using this for a track set-up so who really cares if it looks wierd. It just needs to work.
