Default SCT question...

Ok so a few weeks ago i changed my custom 93 tune to cutom 87. and it didnt even dawn on me until just when i hit the button... I went directly from 93-87 Should i have gone 93 - stock - stock -87?

Did i lose my stock programing?

Guy at the shop says im fine, just want to make sure so that i dont have a dead stang in the driveway and lots of explaining to do....

You are fine, there is no need to return to stock when switching the tunes

I would advise downloading your stock tune to your computer. Not sure which SCT you got however forsctlivewire you'll go to http://www.sctlivewire.com/lwdownloads.phpand get the appropriate software and plug in your usb connections to your pc.

Always good to have a backup.

Howarmat thats what I was talking about with my Xcal3 issues.
With the X3/Livewire Updater Software their is an button on the interface that reads "Get Stock Tune".

Thats what I hit that downloaded a 960 KB File named "flash.lbu". I cant read an lbu so I dont know what I actually got.

Edited to Add: Im going to call Doug at Bama tomorrow and go through my issue and I will ask about the "Get Stock Tune" feature.

I will ask while he is on the phone about the "Get Stock Tune" feature. I already registered my unit for warranty coverage on SCT.
I had to register it under livewire since there is no X3 option. I chose livewire because the X3 uses the same software evidently.
At least you use the same updates.
You got the stock tune. You can't read it however whendownloading it to a sct tuner it can.

It's same is if downloading a .ll3 tune.

Ok doing some digging i found that you can get the stock tune off the SCT using the Xc2dump.exe application which comes with the livelink software....but from the SCT forum posts that i read you cant get that back onto the device yourself as it is in a encrypted format....the guys at SCT or dealers might be able to do it.....so you get a backup but cant do anything with it yourself.....

The Xc2dump.exe is not part of the livelink software either, it is a standalone app that comes with the livelink software though

Diablo gives you full control with the backup
