Okay, I've searched and searched for the answer to this dumb question. Does anybody know why we call this blasted bloody box (CPU) the "Spanish Oak" processor? I've found some links to Motorola about the product itself, but I can't find a straight answer. I'm sure the answer is really, really obvious. Thanks in advance for answering this so I can move on to better things!
It is the name Motorola gave the processor, much like Intel and AMD naming theirs, no real structure, kinda like government operations...
+1. I believe it is a naming convention Motorola uses to identify its 56x series of 32 bit processors. For instance, I think the new GT500 is using the "Silver" Oak processor and I've also heard about a "Black" Oak.
