SCT TUNER QUESTION?????

Default SCT TUNER QUESTION?????

Ok so last week i got my steeda cai and tuner installed at carfx (local shop)http://tulsacarfx.com/carfx1/index.php
anyway i was told i was getting the x3 but when they started tuning it they said they were having problems with it or they didn't have the new software cause this was the first one they have done so i get there to pick my car up and i have a freaking stratgey flash? WTF they told me when they get the x3s working i can come swap it out....is the strategy flash off brand kinda?? causse they won't even call it the strategy flash they call it the xcal2 and i know its not cause im not stupid

The Strategy Flash (SF2) is the SF3 predecessor. There are still new Strategy Flash units around (I have one left in inventory).

HOLD UP they charged me a extra 100 for custom tunes??? did i get shafted

The Strategy devices come pre-loaded with 3 tunes from SCT. The X units are for custom tunes from tuner shops.

they are a sct dealer and custom tune could they have put custom tunes on it?

Dont know if its custume tunes or not....did they ask what mods you have on the car already...gears or whatnot

yea and i saw them driving it with all the wires from the hood to the inside through the window....

All the Flashers we are discussing are SCT products.
I suspect they just used the SF2 to hold your stock tune for you.
You already have the dyno tune in your PCM.

Like I stated on the other thread the SCT Xcal3 is apparently still having issues.
SCT claims they are fixed but if mine isnt an isolated case on the updated ones...
Tell them you want a SCT Xcal2 not the SF2 or Xcal3.
