Default Exhaust advice

Hello folks,

I just got a 2006 mustang gt 3 days ago and I want to mildly modify the exhaust system. As far as axle back systems go, what sounds best between Borla, Bassani, and Flowmaster? I plan on getting a k&N and hurst shifter also in the future. Right now I want to just make it sound really nice. Let me know what you guys think I should get.

Where is the best place to buy them? What do you mean by FTW? Do you think they sound better than flow masters?

Well that depends on what you like.
I had the MAC axle-back mufflers and they sounds awesome, deep and throaty but i hated the drone.
The drone was so bad between 1800-2100 RPM that it just drove me nuts.

I switched those out for the Corsa axle-back mufflers and i love them.
There is ZERO but they are no where near as deep sounding.
the sound amazing in there own way, kinda like a race car poppy sound.
They are low andquiet and cruise and normal driving, but the scream very loud at WOT.

So it all depends on what sound you are looking for.

Thanks. I really don't want a really loud drone. My 06 stang I just bought is the exact same color as yours! I love that color. Mine is black leather inside, what is yours? Have you heard anything about Borla stingers? how do they sound?

the stingers sound pretty good, some drone but not too bad, less than most. i now a couple guys that have them and sounds good w/ o/r h, x or prochamber. but if you want louder i would recommend mac boomtubes.

What is the best place to buy exhaust and other mods that you have experienced? I've seen a ton of adds in muscle mustangs and fast fords, I just want to buy from the a reliable source.

good internet sites that gave me very good service were: brenspeed, lethalperformance, ninosport, and jegs.
