After a recent incident i have decided I need some hood pins!
If you install them on a hood would there be any reason you couldn't reuse them on a different hood should you make a change? I'm thinking about changing the hood this summer and was wondering.

Whoa! Those shelby billet pins look nice. I would have gone with the Shelby or Joe Heck pins if I wanted the cables. Otherwise the Steeda or Sparco (basically the same product from England) captive-style, which is what I have.
I also like the "aero-catch". May be rice to some but I like the technology.

They are definitely re-usable. Just unscrew the pins/latches and transfer. My hood use to rise/lift about 3-4' in the middle near the air-scoops before the pins. Now I don't see it move more than about 1/4'. That may seem like a lot, but with a 5-10lb hood I don't mind it
. MUCH reduced with the pins.
