I've got a 2008 and on page 6 of the owners guide it states I have both. Now I don't think I like that at all.

Are you sure? You might want to check your owner's manual. It says the same thing as his 2008.

I agree, I intend to disable this errr,,,, feature?
Might be time to sell and get an older stang, I was 20 when the 1967's first hit the highway but I was driving a 64 Chevy Impala SS 327

does this record events such as loading a tune (voiding engine warranty) ??

does it erase its memory when the battery is disconnected??

can i take it out and blow it up??

if i do, do the feds come after me?? lol

I don't know, but I'm with you, I didn't realize my new stang came complete with an invisible cop with a notebook in the back seat.

I don't know, but I'm with you, I didn't realize my new stang came complete with an invisible cop with a notebook in the back seat.
That's a scary realization... What if it records your psychotic driving (reading insane RPMS in short bursts) and tells the Ford guys all about how many WOTs you pulled in the first 500 miles? Or even the 155MPH speed you reached and came to pick up your car only to find guys with blue clothes and a blue pointy hat with matching bracelets ready to take you away?
