Default Starting Help 2007 4.6

Car has not been started since mid Oct. Started and ran fine before put away for winter. Thought I would start and get up to temp today. Will not do anything. When I try to start all I get is a low thump from under the car. OK I know all about the dead battery syndrome on these cars when they sit. Battery has been kept charged. However I thought I could still have a bad battery. So I got my Boat starting battery out of my basement and connected. (fresh charge right off the maintainer with 1000 CCA. Same result. Checked voltage at cable clamps 12.7. Scangauge shows 12.65. Any Ideas??

If I were a Mustang, I wouldn't want to sit around either.

Hearing this makes me nervous....I have not started mine in a month....and who knows when I will get my first chance to. I know that I will not drive the car until March.....do you guys think I once I get a string off good days I should just take the covers off, take the charger off, and start her up for a bit? If so.....how long should I run it for?

you need to run it for a good 20 minutes to get it warm and burn any moisture off. Starting it for like 5 minutes every now and then is actually harmful......

So should I start it.....or let it sit until March when I take the car back out?

maybe a dumb question[&:], but why is it harmful to start it up for only 5 minutes every couple weeks?

Because all you do is suck moisture into the motor. Unless the motor is up to full working temp, the moisture won't even start to dissipate. So it's like full working temp, then add 5 minutes or so.
