I Have an 05 GT 5spd and lately ive been hearing this whine during deceleration or just any time i let off the gas...mainly just in first or second and a little in 3rd...At first i didnt think too much of it because it was a very slight whine but its beginning to get louder on me...

When i had it at the dealership a few weeks back for a warranty checkup i mentioned it to them and they said it was nothing...but i dno has any1 else had an issue like this?? and how did you fix it??

Does it seem like it is coming from under the hood, from the transmission area, or the rear?

 

It's probably your gears in the rearend.

 

its nothing.....i cant explain it but its just the way the engine winds down when its in gear

It sounds more like its coming from the Transmission, possibly rear end...and no it didnt take me 3 years to realize it..bought it used less than a year ago...lol

the Tremec 3650 whines alot, mostly in first and in second.
