Default CAI Maintenance?

What do you do to maintain your CAI and how often?

When should the filter be replaced?

Every 3k I take the filter off, use the cleaning kit and re-oil. Should never need to replace it.

you shoudlnt need to change the filter or clean it for like 20K but its only $35 for a new filter so i bought a new one since its so damn cheap and replaced at like 10K

If you have a reusable (oiled) air filter, every 12-15K miles is good. No reason to throw away an oiled filter. The whole idea of going oiled is that they are reusable.

If it's a paper element then 15-20K is fine.

Believe it or not I used Fantastik on it with warm water and it came out like new.
