How do I get the subs to be exposed like in the link, I think I have seen someone on here with a set up like it. Can I get a kit like this or is it custom?

Find somebody that wants to cut some holes in your door panel and set-up two more speakers. Go to any "custom" sound store (no not best buy, sound advice, or circuit city).
Anyways I think that set-up is ugly. [:'(]

Honestly that is entirely pointless In my own opinion. I think that the speakers that are mounted in the 6x8 location are not needed and rather untasteful while exposing the sub on the bottom is the same situation. First off putting a sub in the front door of a front sound stage of a car makes no sense to me. 2nd, the factory door panel can not handle the added power and excursion that an after market sub will add. It's going to rattle increasingly more and also you are going to spend a lot of money for not a lot of performance sound gain.
If you want to get your sound system better you would be a lot better off putting a mid range woofer there not a subwoofer. and taking that location of your 6x8 speaker and running a 4" mid with a 1" tweeter. That way you get get the full 3way setup in the front and if you want to add in the low booming bass well add in a good 10" sub with 2-500 watts in the trunk. You will be A LOT more satisfied than with trying to half *** it IMO again and put subs in the door with regular speaker in the 6x8 location.
I put 6.5" woofer where the 8" sub and a 2" tweeter where the 6x8 location is, took out my back speakers and I run a 4 channel 300 watt rms amp. Its twice as loud, twice as clear has less than half the amount of speakers as before and almost half of the amount of rated power. Okay so the speakers are worth $700 and the amp is worth $500+ but thats certainly not what I paid.
Oh and btw. Those billet rings around the subs are custom made pieces and thats why it looks so clean to you. I'm done ranting. pm me if you would like any advice on setting that up.
