thanks jay I am glad I finally made the decision!

As for the weight, you know I am not sure what the stock hood weighs. Although this hood is bigger its made of fiberglass so I would imagine it is lighter.

stock is aluminum, so the fiberglass is probably heavier

and trufiber makes it right?

hmm alright.

TRUfiber makes the venom hood yes. For the first people who asked just take note that it only works with the GT500 front bumper.

I just got the same hood, and have a question about the condition of it, and the necessary paint prep. What type of shape was your hood in? Mine was fine from shipping, but the shop I picked to do the paint (a great well know custome paint shop in Houston), unwrapped it and basically told me it was a POS. They suggested that I change it for another one because of all of the manufacturing imperfections. It is wavy, full of pin holes, they are concerned with the work needed to get the hood in shape to paint, especially an imperfection at the front near where I would have to grab to lift the hood.

Looking for some help on if it's worth getting it exchanged or just sending it back?? I am hoping it's just this hood, not a problem with all of them.

Thanks.

Is this hood (or similar) available for V6 or GT front bumper? Thanks! Looks awesome, can't wait to see finished pics

For GT or V6 bumpers, you have the Trufiber GTS or GTS-2, and also Cervinis makes one but I don't know the name of it.

None of the 3 will be exactly like it but they are similar.
