Ok this is kind of hard to explain but it feels like my car is almost floating when i drive it on the roads, it didnt used to be like this, as the steering was pretty tight and all now it feels loose, anyone know what i am talkin about and should i have it looked at, or is this a common thing?

Your steering wheel is supposed to have a LITTLE bit of slop in it...otherwise you would be veering out of lanes with the smallest nudge.

However, if it feels odd to you, I would have it looked at

How are the tires? I have the opposite problem, I just put new tires all the way around and the steering is so tight I am not used to it.

If you could jack up the front end try this: go to the front drivers side wheel and put your hands at 3 and 9 O'clock. Rock the wheel back and forth, is there any play in it? Now put your hands at 12 and 6 and rock it back and forth, any play?. Do same on other side. If there is play, its possible you have a steering rack problem or something loose in the front end.

Check easiest thing first: the 4 tire pressures.

Tires sounds most likely.
Everyone should either own a tire gauge or pay to have their air checked regularly.
Don't rely on the sensors, they are notoriously unreliable and they can't tell you when the pressure is wrong, only dangerously low (if they work at all. )

(The guvmint woulda done a lot better to require mfrs to provide a tire gauge and instructions tather than another idiot light...)

If tire pressure is good, I'd have it checked. Something may be coming loose.

WRONG.
There is suppost to be NO SLOP in the steering wheel.
Caster angle keeps you going straight down the road.
The more the caster angle the more your steering wants
to snap back going straight after a turn at speed.
Is your stang lowered? Is your caster up to specs?
How about your TOE angle? Are you experiencing
bump steer problems? [/color]
