Default Overspeed warning?

So just got the car back from the shop after getting a new dash cluster installed. Few things have changed....

When I go into reverse, I get a beeping noise telling me I am in reverse

If I go above 70, I get 4 beeps, assuming I am going over the speed limit.

Anyone else have these warning signals?

Not on my GT. Maybe it's something they put on 6 bangers to let them know they are approaching the 113 mph top speed.

You need to take it to ford and have them reflash the cluster with the "as built" data. The chimes will go away

Also your parking break light may be engaged even when the break is depressed, and you'll hear other chimes as well. If you don't have TCS or ABS (which I'm SURE you do..) then those lights would go on as well.

Also, your tire pressure sensor may activate.

As howarmat said, take it to the dealer to get it "as-built" flashed. I have an appointment for mine this friday. Lovin the new mycolor cluster. ^_^

Its actually not that annoyed to be honest. I dont back up often and once I go past 70 it beeps those 4 times and stops, but if I drop below 70 and go past it again, it repetes it self.

Yeah my old one never did that, till I got my new cluster. Doesnt make sense to be honest, but it is an oem cluster too. No warning lights, no performance drop, just gives a friendly beep.

Will the ford dealership charge me for this?

Our driveshafts tend to explode around that point. I reccomend not doing that without an aluminum one in the future.
