I went and got tinted yesterday. Got home, left for work in my explorer and my roommate called and said my windows were down on the stang. He rolled them back up for me only to have them roll themselves back downan hour later!!!! Has anyone else had a problem with their windows rolling themselves down automatically? If so, how do I fix it?!?!!?

 

There is a problem that existed in the early 05s i think where you could hit a button on the key fob and the windows would automatically come down. They discontinued it becuase of the exact problem you have, the windows randomly would come down.

 

I read that in some old forums (tried searching before posting) but none of them had a fix for the problem. [:@] Anyone?

 

You could try to get it retinted and disconnect the negative battery. Just might work.

Recalibrate your windows. There's a how-to here and on the TMS forums somewhere.

 

The recalibration is in the manual, but the basics are depress the down button and hold for 5 seconds after it's down, then up and hold for 5 seconds after it's up. I have to do it every now and then when I roll down the window and it thunks.

 

Take it to the dealer and have them disable the feature. I've heard that they hook up the on-board computer and can de-select this option from the on-board computer menu.

Has nothing to with recalibrating the windows.
