Help with SLP LM Install Tips...
Well, guys just got my SLPS from forum member here...Look great, Sound Great....However, I'm having a hell of the time with the right (passenger) tip. Its lower than the left, and instead of being center its over the the left some, not touching the bumper but close. I pushed the mid pipe all the way up into the stock exhaust, and the same with the tip, however, when I pushed the tip as far as it could go it was way to short in the bumper...when I pulled it out some it sticks out but to the left. As far as the left side goes...alignment looks perfect, exactly straight, however, should you be able to read the "SLP". Anyway here are some pictures...Lastly is it possible to miss up the mid pipes, from left to right...I don't think you can, but the left looks pretty spot on, and the right was way off...it crossed my mind, but I don't think the one would look almost spot on if it was switched...Anyway heres the pictures...
From Right to Left.

From Right to Left.

I just came across this picture from a forum member...is this the correct alignment left and right?...if so I at least got the tips backwards...however, in the instructions the tip with the longer hanger was on the right....

I had to bend my hangers to get my tips perfectly lined up in the holes. I don't have the SLP's though. Just an idea. Its really a pain in the a**, but it will work. Also, did you try twisting the exhaust coming back from the clamps right after the midpipe?
Well, I don't want to bend the hangers, until I'm sure I got the the right pipes on the right sides...See this picture from Brenspeed and the instructions have got the tips going the other way...which way is it?

ya loosen up the clamps at the midpipe then try and realign. best if done with two people, one to hold the muffler in place and the other to tighten the nuts on the mid pipe clamp
I had the same problem. For me it wasn't about pushing it more up or down I had to twist it into place. It was very awkward and I didn't think it would fit but just messed with it for a while and soon enough it was perfect.
Alright, so there is no way to have the mid pipes wrong, how about the tips? Just can't believe that one hangs down some damn low compared to the other one, and I did pretty much the exact same thing between pipes...Also should you be able to read the SLP from the truck looking down?
Both mid pipes and tips coupled incorrectly will not line up. You have it right. Try getting another person and do what i posted above. As for the slp showing, thats up to you, you can lengthen the short one, or try taking off some off the longer one.
So, loosing the mid pipe on the right side and maybing turning it to the right will hopefully raise it up and over to the right some...therby perfect fit...
