well i finally put my car back to stock since its going to ford tomorrow and the check engine light came on. so i put my tuner on and got this code:
P0301 FALT CYA
MSFR DET CY1

dose anyone know what that means and is it safe to drive like that or am i going to do engine damage?

what im guess is its telling me theres a misfire on the #1 cyl. is that right?

Yes that is a misfire code and yes it is telling you that you have a misfire on cylinder 1. Does the car feel as though it is missing? If so you probably have a failed COP. Replace the COP and the spark plug clear the code and you should be good to go.

 

i know a coil pack is bad but it never gave me a light untill now. and since its under warante shes going in tomorrow morning. hopfully they have em in stock and thats all it is. im tierd of leaving my baby in shops. what else could it be other then a bad C.O.P

 

What do you mean, what else could it be? You just said you know you have a bad one? Ford will diagnose the problem and swap it our under warranty with a bit of luck. So you are taking it back totally stock yea?

 

will ford know if he installed any after market parts? like i could see if they voided the warranty cause of an intake but what about mufflers?

 

yea its going back totally stock.. could it be the ecu not sending anything to that c.o.p? ect.. this is my newest car and first with c.o.ps so i know next to nothing about them
