Well the day after I bought my 07 GT, I had the mufflers and shorty antenna ordered. A week later came the CAI/Tune.

Now 7 months later I have my whipple on order. Hopefully it comes this week.

This is my 3rd mustang though and none of them stayed stock long so I guess I have had the bug a while.

I only have 2 words of advice so you can save yourself some trouble I went through.

#1. Have a plan before you start and a budget. When I bought the 07 I sat down and figured out everything I wanted to order and now it is just a matter of working through the list. By doing this you know what you are getting into time and finance wise and all the parts you order work together. If you start buying parts ad-hoc in the end it doesnt turn out as well. (IE wy I sold my 99 GT).

#2. Only pay cash for car mods. If it isnt extra money it isnt play money.

Other than that have fun and get an understanding wife/gf.

I’ve had the car since June 2007. I wait 3 month (Sept) to get the CAI/tune and the 6-gauge cluster, then wait another 3 months (Dec) to get pypes mid-muffler system and Steeda UDP, and I just bough LCA on Friday. I am going to get wider tires because the stock tires suck. After that, I hope I will be done for a while. But my wish list still includes; Gears, Kooks headers and catted mid-pipe, short antenna, hood lift struts, Good looking 18in rims, and delete plates. I am going to bet there will be more to this list at some point. My fiancée is going to kill me.

I would of had all of my bolt ons as soon as I got my car but the dealership found a car that I wanted at another dealership instead of ordering it. But I still had full bolt ons within 3 months. Pretty soon it will be a year since ive had my car and more than 3K spent on it within the first year. Hopefully I can start saving my money now.
