Just wait until the fast idle drops to normal idle and you're good.

Agreed.
If I take off right away it chokes and wants to die out. So I let the idle start to drop before I go. My ride to work is only 8 blocks/3 min.

+1

I at least wait for my fast idle to come down to normal
defore driving away. On cold frosty days I ley her warm
up to about 150 degrees ECT before heading out.
On warm days I wait for my TPMS light to quit flashing
(30 secs).

I let it run no matter what the temp is a few minutes before I move it.

if its really cold I'll run out there 10 minutes before I leave to start it up. I can't imagine driving the car that soon after it sitting for so long is good, may not be too harmful, but I'd rather be safe and let it warm up, plus you turn the heat on too

Hell yeah I let her warm up(at least 5-10 mins winter time)even if ford says I dont have to. Plus I like her to be nice and warm when I set inside. Nobody likes to be kicked out the bed into the field in the morning. Especially cold ones.

Man I'm missin my baby right now.

I don't warm it up (Michigan) but I do drive conservatively till the engine temp comes up to normal. It just feels like its tough on the engine going from 10 or 20 degrees and jumping to 200 or whatever, suddenly. Just my gut feeling.

I let her warm up about 5 minutes. When I do leave, I don't go above 3k RPM's at all.

WARM IT UP - RAIN OR SHINE, COLD OR HOT!

I'm told by Ford, and my my co-worker who ownED a 05 Mustang GT and blew his engine that in most Ford performance vehicles, the oil will partically drain out of the engine(?) if it sits for an extended part of time and when you start it up,the onlyneeds at least 30 seconds to a minute of time to work its way back thru the engine(?). It doesn't drain out of the car, but out of the engine. It's a good feature because for some reason will keep the engine cleaner.

I don't know how to explain it completely, but my friend had started up his and rev'd it up real loud and quick a few times to show off and blew his motor. This was Ford's explaination to him, and he confirmed because the previous Mustang he had before that would also need to be warmed up.

Besides... it's just healthy for the car to let it sit for a moment.
