I have a black06 GT with factory 18" fanblade wheels and BFG's. I've been thinking of purchasing new wheels and tires, mainly for the staggered look (fatter tires in the rear). I still haven't decided on going with 18's or 20's, either way they will be deep dish Bullitts. I really like the "old school" look and was wondering if anyone had white letter tires on their new S197's. Maybe I've watched Barrett-Jackson auction one time too many, but man I like that old school tire look.Anyone with pics you can share? Thanks!

 

I agree... But I think you will have to paint the letters yourself. I played with this one time... And it looks pretty good...even with the pirellis. You can see my pics by clicking on my signature link and the clicking on the "07 Mustang" link at the top.

I had painted letters on my stock tires once. I used the Duplicolor Hot Tires paint pen and they looked great. Unfortunately they turned brown after a while from dirt and crap so I removed the paint. I'm gonna put it on again someday but I just get lazy.

 

Yep.. they don't last too long. I also didn't prep them that well.. .so If you really clean them, it might last.

If your car isn't a daily driver.. it might last even longer.

 

i just got back from barret jackson, i live less than a mile from the tent. I would stick with nitto redlines, those are old school.

 

that's funny, I'm watching Barret Jackson on speed.

It WOULD be neat to see redlines on our bodystyle.
