Default Dumb Question

How difficult is it to master the SCT X-CALIBRATOR and get the proper tune out of it?

Master? There's really nothing to master. You plug it in and follow the menus. It's easy to operate. Here's a video that shows how to load a tune with an XCAL2: http://www.brenspeed.com/tech/loadingtunes.wmv

If you can program a VCR or operate a microwave oven, you're a brainiac with respect to the XCAL2.

Yeah, I think they're referring to the ability to write your own tunes. He/she wants to know what knowledge and equipment are needed to write your own custom tune that you can then upload to an SCT (or other tuner) and put it on your car...

...and actually make the car run well . Blowing up the engine doesn't count...haha

Yeah, that whole "not blowing up the engine" criteria, I'm sure adds an extra amount of difficultly to the process.....
