Removing racing stripes?

RE: Removing racing stripes?
There not hard to remove, depending on the conditions your car has been in and how long the stripes have been on will affect the paint. I don’t think your cars paint is ruined though.
To remove them heres a few suggestions
1. warm up your car first by starting the engine(maybe even go for a ride around the block)
2. use a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive
3. Peel it off, from what i understand there will be goo left under from the stripe and youll need some kind of goo gone(idk what its called id ask around first before using something like that)
It shouldn’t be too difficult. If you have any more questions about it pm me
Thanks

RE: Removing racing stripes?
the hardest thing i've ever done to my car. If someone would do it for $100, i would be ALL OVER THAT. took me and my wife about 8 hours. tried EVERYTHING. sunlight, hairdryer, etc etc etc. We finally used the hairdryer, but the biggest pieces we could get were like 2" x 2". Too cold, wouldn't peel, too warm, just tore. Then it left ALL the adhesive on the car. Spent more time removing that than the vinyl. Soak it in adhesive remover, use credit card to scrape off a layer. repeat. repeat. repeat. I don't know if it was th roush stripes or what, but it was ridiculous. I've heard people say it's really easy, and others say as bad as mine. I think it depends on who made the stripe and the adhesive they used. AHHHHHHHHH it makes me mad just thinking about it.

I had to remove vyna from the gas tank on my motorcycle and used a commercially available product called Sticker Shock. You can get this product at a autobody paint provider along with plastic razor blades, yes plastic razor blades. They look exactly like a razor blade but will not scratch the paint. The Sticker Shock worked very well and it also will not harm the finish.
