Okay well if you put it that way..... let me be more specific:
Adding a home designed "vin" plaque to your Mustang, Mustang Pony, Mustang GT or any other Mustang is just a little too much of your ego there, it is "overkill", it is begging for attention in the worst way.
On the other handa 2008 Bullitt has a plaque on the shock tower brace - right from the factory. That is totally righteous as Ford placed it there. Looks classy in that locationand well it IS a limited edition. It deserves a limited edition plaque.
Keep in mind, the Bullitt is a subdued appearance car by design. Slapping on a home brewed aluminum plaque on the dashboard is not quite within the theme of the Bullitt.
Frank Bullitt would never do something like that to his Mustang, why would you want to add a "fake" plaque when you have the real on on the STB?

I like

but I'd rather have one in the same place as the Bullitt, on a Strut Tower Brace

Why do you get so bent out of shape about OTHER'S people cars??[&:]

Some of us belong to a club,Forum (sound familiar?), some of us are sponsors etc... If it doesn't make the car ugly, so what's it to you?

How 'bout a Marine that would put a"Semper Fi" plaque on his dash? Too much ego too?

Them rockers are a sixer giveaway. They'll stay black though, since I put a lot of black on that car.

BTW, if I ever meet you and Bluestar, just remember that I don't like to be squeezed by guys.
