Default Strut Tower Brace

I wanted to get some feedback on getting a strut tower brace.

I know in my previous stangs it made a good difference, also in my Supras. How do they fair on the s197s?

Does anyone make one that will fit the 4.6l with the ford App. Pkg Engine cover?

Thanks! pics would be appreciated as well

They're not as critical in this generation of Mustangs, as the chassis is much stiffer, so you'd be better served by putting your $ towards other suspension upgrades first.

Yes, mostly it is the convertible owners who install them.
Mine is Edelbrock:

Margarita Girl- I thought it was the other way around. Convertibles had stiffer suspensions and didn't need this mod. I might be wrong but I thought that was the conscientious from the members of this forum.

I have the Roush which will clear the Roushcharger at least. So I'd imagine it'd clear the engine cover.

Blue Oval Industries STB will fit over the OEM and the Midwest Auto Plenum Cover. But it will contact the hood liner slightly....

I installed the OEM GT500 brace, didn't notice anything as far as handling goes, but it works great for keeping the hood insulator from rubbing the paint off the manifold cover.
