Default RE: Magnetic blackout panel

I just received my magnetic panel yesterday and installed it. I really like it. Install was easy. I'll try and get a pic when weather permits. Here's where I got it from...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...00534&rd=1

The seller has a 100% positive rating. I received the panel within 3 days.

I have the magnetic panel and don't like it. It does not seem to lie flat; especially where the curve on the top is, it seems to scratch very easily, it tore a little around the hole, it shows every speck of dirt underneath, and frankly, it looks like a stuck-on magnetic panel.

Its ok if you want to get the idea how the car would look with it black. But I would not consider it a permanent mod. I took mine off every other wash to clean behind it. It got to be a pain, and I was noticing dots of surface rust underneath it. Any spec of dirt behind it will show on the outside with a small nipple. hehe I said nipple. It does show any sort of scratch, and does scratch fairly easy if not carefull.

I actually like the way it looks but I agree with Stoenr...make it permanent.

It's a tough call. I have heard some good..and some bad comments. Once spring gets here I am going to get either the magnetic or the glossy 3m one.
Does the 3m tape one ( I think xexon) show around the badge in the back? I have heard that this happens because it is not a flush fit.......I like the look but the last thing I want is a little vista blue ring around the badge.

I got the magnetic one off EBAY just to see if I like the look (I do ). The panel is a bit too narrow though , which may not be so visible on a darker car.
