The cowl at the windshield line is curved instead of straight across?

Yes the cowl has been changed slightly. This hood will also apparently be in an uncoming movie on a Mustang :)

i have a question. the louvers on top of the hood, is there anything to stop water from getting on the motor??

Nope. In general it hasn't been a problem but some people have fabricated little deflectors to keep water from going places they don't want it.

maybe one is for the gt front end and the other for the gt500 just a wild guess
