Default clutch question

this might be normal but better safe then sorry.

my clutch doesnt seem to engage until what seems like the last 2 inches or so before you let off the clutch, is this normal?

That's the way it is on mine, but I'm used to having it the other way on all my previous cars, that had adjustable clutch cables.

Nope, mine is the same way. I remember posts about this before and a lot of people have it the same way. You're normal.

Well, I think what Aziraphale meant to say is, your Car is Normal......We don't know if you're normal yet.....give us some time to get to know you better.

is the clutch self-adjusting (i.e. as it wears out the friction plate moves closer so there is the same pedal travel)?

I'm interested to know the answer to this as well. I always adjusted the clutches on my other cars and gotover 140K on each.

My clutch is the same way, feels like it grabs really high, in the last few inches of pedal travel. I figured its ok because the car only has 8000 miles and im not that bad of a driver.
