Default Relocation brackets for stock height?

Will it help? Seems like the downward angle from the chassis to axle would be a big help with wheel hop, as aftermarket LCAs haven't helped at all. True?

But... does it matter if my aftermarket LCAs are fixed length?

Im looking at the BMR bolt-in relocation brackets with 2 hole mounting options

My car is stock height and the LCAs helped a lot alone...

I got Relos and they helped even more.

So having fixed length LCAs wasn't a problem with the reloc brackets? What brand LCAs do you have? And yeah maybe my CHEs have helped but its still horrible.

I have BMR tubular LCA's with the spherical bearing / poly bushing combo.

I installed them along with the BMR HD rear sway bar.

Now my wheel hop problem is pretty much non-existent and I have better traction especially when cornering uphill. (One of my wheels used to easily break loose on uphill corners from a stop, now they both stay planted).

ohnoesaz,

I see you are a Texans fan, and so I guess you must live in H-Town. I am in Houston and got a deal on LCA's and CHE relo brackets from DynoJoe.com. Thatare the only suspension mods I have doneto this point (only had the car 3 months) and it completely eliminated a huge wheel hop problem on my car. I still have a huge traction problem through 1st and 2nd when launching it hard, but I think everyone w/o DR or slicks has that problem. It did allow me to launch much harder w/out spinning though.

Can I ask why your CHE's did not help? I'm going to be buying a set here soon with the anti squats.

Are you still experiencing wheel hop or are you not able to hook up with street tires?

Lowering your control arms will increase your straight line grip but will hurt your handling, its pretty far down on the 2 hole brackets for a non lowered car, maybe consider the Steeda brackets that have 5 holes & allow you to go back to stock without removing brackets, the downside is they must be welded in on an allignment rack, the up side is I am not convinced that other aftermarket brackets maintain proper rear axle geometry as far as square to the body.

Let's not confuse wheel hop with zero traction. I have che lca's and relo brackets and I have zero wheel hop even with the whipple HO and drag radials. I can still spin the tires in 1st, but the tires don't leave the pavement.

The CHE's did help a ton. As I stated, it completely eliminated the wheel hop. Now when I launch hard it is a smooth spinning instead of the harsh hopping I had before. I was just saying that it is a good upgrade, but for most (if not) all it will help traction too but traction is still a problem with hard launches.

At this point the only thing to allow hard launches w/o loss of traction would be DR's or slicks. I just think some people are under the impression that installing the anti-squats and they can launch their car at 3K+ and not have traction issues.
