Default plasma booster ignition???

i have been looking into that new plasma booster ignition for the 05 mustang. it is supposed to boost spark by like 4x and in turn, give you a 12hp/12lb-ft torque gain. most articles and editorials i have read say that it is the best investment you can make for your new stang. i was wondering if anybody has seen any reviews that say otherwise or if anybody has actually put this on their car yet. also, do you think it would be beneficial to add those 7 dollar apiece iridium spark plugs or just use the factory ones???

here is the link for the ignition:

Well, the idea certainly is not a new one. I run a similiar ignition on my FLHT ( for a bike of course, but same theory ). Accel and many other companies have been doing it for years. I would like to read a 3rd party opinion or review about it instead of depending on the word of the place pimpin' the product. Especially for $250. But definitely something to take in to consideration.

I just talked to Rpm outlet and was asking some questions about the unit, the guy I talked to said because I have the xcalibrator tune already that this might not be compatible and that I should call sct and ask them whether they'll work well together. any thoughts?

just called a rep from sct and he said that i dont need to have any kind of reflashing or reprogramming done for the ignition to work and there will not be any conflict...let's just hope he is right cause i am about to order my new gears, ignition, slp exhaust, springs, and a G-Tech Pro SS. i just got back from lake tahoe on spring break and hit a progressive the last day i was there so i have a little extra money to drop into my baby[sm=happy046.gif]

just ordered it about 5 minutes ago. the rep said that he put it on his hemi and it made quite a noticable gain and that i should not bother with the upgrading the plugs unless i am gonna run nitrous so the 7 dollar iridiums are only good for thinning out your wallet. he did say that the ad page saying that it is a 10 minute install is bull****. said it took him about 3 hours but it shouldnt take quite that long on the stangs since the engine is not set back near as far as the hemi.

also getting the 3.73's installed at 9am tomorrow...i'll post results tomorrow after i get it all installed

if you are in houston, i found a place that is going to overnight the gears, install ford racing 3.73's, do all the labor, and replace that expensive synthetic lube they use for only $450. thats pretty cheap since ford just quoted me $900-$1000 to do it and that was without warranty. the place is called PSIMotorsports just south of clear lake

being stationed in england has it's pro's and con's one of them being i have only seen a few 05 stangs here most of them are v-6's i feel very watched and coveted when i drive my car but on the other hand i have been looking for a shop that has a dyno machine and have not found one yet wich means i might have to drive to london wich is all most 3 hours away just to see what my gains are after i put all the new goodies on the stang. i don't know when i will be able to post my gains on the mods i have bolted on to ol' bessy here sorry all but i will be intrested to see the gains you guys will see on your rides.
