I have learned to always go with your gut. If you don't think they know what the hell they are doing, then don't trust them with your ride. I might call the Ford Dealer and run it by them to see if they will handle the install for you. I just had a H pipe and mufflers installed and the cost was $75. See if they will match a price similar to that.

I wouldn't go much more than a $100, but if you really want it on, then $125 isn't so bad.

I had a so called "performance exhaust shop" tell me the same thing, that they didn't make a dual exhaust for my car, needless to say I am not taking my car to that shop. I got a qoute from a local midas for $130 for installation if I supplied the parts, thats where I will be taking it. I would say $125 is a good price.

It's really simple to do the install yourself, it's 100% bolt on. I don't have a new pipe but I installed my own mufflers and it was a piece of cake. But of you want to have someone do it for you you'll just have to go with your gut. For a job like this I feel that it would be very hard for them to screw up... but you never know.

a midpipe install is easy if you got a lift. if your doing it w/ jackstands all by yourself its more difficult. $125 seems about right, should be only a 1 hour install at a shop if its only the midpipe.

Try to find some people who had their exhausts done there and talk to them about it. I had my local shop do it but they have done two of my vehicles in the past. I paid $90 for installation and I supplied the parts, so depedning on your area 125 isnt that bad.

Most of us didn`t exit the womb spinning a ratchet, we all learned the same way, start with the simple stuff like brakes and exhaust. You`ll save money, learn new skills, and build confidence for the next project. JMO
