when buying a used cai+tuner?

Ive read that the person must return his car to stock before you can use it, is that all? Thanks

yes i think thats how you unlock it by returning to stock, but you can always call the tuner manufacturer to be sure. what kind of CAI/tuner you getting? you still getting the mid mufflers too?

 

He said he put his car back to stock, but the 3 brenspeed tunes are still on it. Is that okay? I know ill have to get new tunes, but those should just wipe off his right? Anyway.. its the JLT2 + SCT Xcal 2.

Oh and about the mid-mufflers, ive decided i want to keep the slp's and see what they sound like with LT's and a catted mid-pipe.

 

wherever you buy the tunes lets say brenspeed they will email you your 3 new tunes along with a link to download the sct program to get the new tunes to the sct, even thou he returned his car to stock you will have to acess the program and unlock his car from the tuner.Its avery simple process
