Default Issues with Tune

Hello All,

I got the CAI C&L Street and tune from Brenspeed, did the installation and everything seems to be fine, im using 92Octane gas so i loaded the 92 tune it cames with but i feel different the car and i dont meant faster.

If i press the throttle at first gear i feel no answer from car until it reaches the 3000RPMs then i tried loading the 87octane with the same results.

If i load the pre programmed option using 92 octane and choosing C&L Box i feel the car very good but i was told not to use that option.

I need some help here why im feeling power after reaching 3000RPMs ?

Please guys be patient with me i will be posting so i can get what all get after installing CAI.

Thanks

+1.
Call Brenspeed. They should be able to help...
I doubt your tune is bad.
I would think either you made a mistake on the CAI install (go over it; make sure all sensore are hooked up correct and its properly tightened not to loose or even too tight which could cut off air flow?) or maybe didn't load the tune correctly?

Very wierd. Call Brenspeed tomorrow. Just installed the same system (but with a 87, 91, and 93 tune) and definitely don't have the same experience.

I have the BBK CAI and Brenspeed tunes. Eveyone has their own opinion of what the tune does - some guys use terms like "overwhelming; Awesome; completely different; pulls like a bat-out-of-hell; etc". Other guys are more reserved in their pronouncments "nice increase; good but....; its no supercharger; etc". My point is: its possible your feeling that it doesn't pull hard under 3000RPM may be normal, just your expectations were that it be more.

Case in point - I wouldn't say my car pulls hard under 3K...its good but not great. But when it hits 3K it feels like a weak turbo kicks in and pulls very hard.

Ive got Brents 93 tune. If I hammer on it, it doesnt start to pull real hard until just after 3,000 rpms either. I figured its just the power curve of the motor.

Ok,I understand what you guys mean, like is normal that the car pulls real hard after 3000RPMs but my issue is that before CAI and Tune installedi felt the car pulling hard before the 3000RPMs better than now.

Also other thing was that IF i use pre programmed option i feel the car lovely BUT i was told not tu use that option only custom.

That make sense ?

Many Thanks for your help!

+1 on calling brenspeed... I had the exact same problem happen with mine. I called them, an hour later they emailed me a new tune and everything was better.
