engine shut off

engine shut off
today while in my school parking lot my car just turned off. it was still in drive and everything. i started it back up with no problem. later on when i dropped my friend off as i came to a stop in shut off again. the emissions light and battery light came on and when i turned the car back on they disappeared. anyone have an idea
