Default Roush Performance

what do you all think about the Roush Stage 3 upgrades? Thinking about roushcharging my car. Also, does anyone know how the Roush exhaust sounds? Just want the bolt on pipes.

Thanks,
Brian

Not sure about the exhaust. But i know roush makes a good supercharger for running a safe ride, and they warranty it. Only problem is they dont put out much power :-/

i think the roushchager gives you 100 and then if you get the bigger pully then add 15

The only benefit to Roushcharging is the attached warranty. Its really all up to your needs.

Saleen offers a great unit if thats an option.

Borla's huh? Maybe I should go listen to a Roush start up and see if I wanna replace my Magnaflow....hmmmmmmm. Oh, and to some of us who have less money to throw around, a warranty can be a huge deal, especially if our Mustang is our daily driver! I'd be SOL if I had an unwarranted supercharger that crapped itself haha.

I can tell you from personal experience with my 427. I have the optional 8 lb pully with corresponding tune from Roush. Keep in mind that stated numbers from Roush are conservative as is their tunes to a point. My 427 will still snap your neck back. Conservative is not bad when you consider the quality of our gas today. Yes you can get more power and yes I know most on this sight tend to be hard on Roush.

Based on the Dyno results of another 427 identical to mine taken on a cool day - HP is as follows

Approx - 450 HP at Crank
a little over 400 HP at the rear wheels
around 400 ft lbs torque.

On a warmer day results will be somewhat less as we all know. Still not bad in my book.
