How long is long enough?

RE: How long is long enough?
depends on how much you want your car...i would recommend looking around at dealership inventories and checking if they have any GT's that fit or closely fit the criteria of your order. remember, most dealerships will trade or purchase from other dealerships all over the country to get the car you want and i know that there are tons of dealerships here in texas with 2005 GT's, Roush's, and Saleens sitting on the lots

I guess it depends on how bad you want the car. Some of the folks here have been waiting a llloooonnngg time. You might try to find one on a lot in a city near you, or just be patient. It aint even good spring weather yet.

RE: How long is long enough?
I originally ordered on 11/17/04 through a small dealership in my area. They have a very small allocation and very low priority. They still don't have a VIN on that order and don't even know if it will be built. They have done everything they can to try and get the order through. I went to a larger dealer in the St. Louis area and placed another order on 3/23/05 and they said 10-12 weeks. The original dealer was going to let me have the car for $150 over invoice and the larger dealer is letting me have it for $500 over invoice. Even though the prices went up $575 since the original order and an additional $350 for the cost of the car, I have to pay an additional $925 since the original order. But since I am using the American Quarter Horse Association (aqha.com) discount of $500, I am not out all that much. If the car comes in from the original small dealer, I will have to forfeit the $500 down I had to place for a deposit at the larger dealer and still be $425 ahead unless I try to make a deal with them, but you all know how that goes.

i'm sorry to hear that yall are having to wait so long for these cars...that really sucks to know that you are definately getting a new GT but have to continue driving your current daily driver until the new one comes in...
