Default New Driveshaft

I tried searching but couldn't find the answer i was looking for. I saw on Brenspeeds site that they have an driveshaft that claims to add horsepower and torque. I was wondering how much gains i could expect and how much this should cost to have installed. Also if there are any other brands that work well with an auto that would be great!

Thanks in advance.

It'll add HP and torque to the back tires by removing the loss due to the 2 piece boat anchor that is the factory piece. I've been doing a lot of looking and research and decided on getting the Spydershaft very soon. I have yet to hear of anyone having problems with it and he's running in the 11s.

No retune required. You can PM the man himself "spyder7724" or just go to: http://www.leonardracingproducts.com/drive01.php

One note: The Spyder shaft requires replacement of the pinion flange on the rear diff. Some other shafts have an adapter plate. I'm don't want to get into a discussion of which is better because opinions vary but I will say that the replacement flange type shaft is a more difficult install. If you are doing the install yourself this may be a factor. If you are going to have an experienced shop do it than its probably not a factor. Cost to install should be in the $100 range. Also note, if your car is lowered or you plan on lowering it then in additional you will want to have an adjustable UCA or LCAs so that you can set the correct pinion angle. IMO this is a good thing to have even if your car is not lowered.

The spydershaft is definitelyin my near future.

Heard a lot of good things about it, no complaints or problems.

I could probably get gears and pullies installed for the price of a new driveshaft installed. Which would have a better performance gain? Thanks for everyones replys.....Hopefully i can have one ordered by the end of the month.
