Default after market stereo wire harness

can any of you guys who have changed out your Shaker 500 system tell me where you picked up your wire harness? I happened to be at BestBuy and considering buying Guitar Hero, when I got the idea to see how much a wire harness would be so I could swap my kenwood deck into my mustang. I was told it would be $100 for the parts because I needed some adapter to keep the door subs operational. This seems pretty rediculous to me; I was expecting needing something just like this: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...amp;tab=review

thanks for any help.

Buy your stereo thru Crutchfield and all the extras are FREE.
Adapter, dash trim, etc.

well i already have a head unit from my previous car that I wanted to put into my mustang...I mean it's a little older but it's still great, and I believe it fits. It's a kenwood kdc-mp228. I'll probably just call up crutchfield to check up on everything I'll need to get.

I think that you will still need to install a regulator or else the subs will make a popping sound everytime the radio comes on. I'm not 100% sure, that every new deck needs this, but I know the people that installed avic's had to install a regulator.

Here is a link that might help you.

Everybody seems to carry harnesses. I think I got mine for a Kenwood DDX-6019 for like $30 at my local audio store (this was with an install, though, so it may have been cheaper this way.) I have noticed that to get certain Kenwood radio features to work (like Sirius) it takes a lot of extra parts that I didn't know abotu in advance (Like $100 worth).
