Looking at painting the pony on the front grille flat black, but was wondering what to use when sanding it?

Sand blast it with walnuts.

i dident sand the pony.

just cleaned it off sprayer 3 coats sprayed 4 coats clear and its been about 1 year 4 months still looking as new as day i did it.

but if you want to go ahead

I used 320 grit, followed by two coats of primer, followed by 3 LIGHT coats of Black. It came out great !!
