so u guys remember how, about 8-9 months back, i got rear ended? well i took the car into world ford to have it repaired, they ****ed me over several times, i had to bring the car back many times. once because the body work was so sub-par that people were asking me why i didn't have the car repaired in the first place, another time because the exhaust was banging on something, they farmed it out to some cheap third party place about 40 miles away. well, now, the reason my boomtubes wouldn't line up is because they made a complete mess of my exhaust system. they welded in a new section on one side, increasing it's length by about 4 inches, pushing the over axle pipe on that side to contact my fuel system wiring, burning straight through it. when they "fixed" me exhaust rattle, they welded in a holding thing on some place where it shouldn't be. that weld popped out dramatically, making a loud noise, and now, i have a quarter-sized hole there. also, its leaking from the other clamp they welded in. also, i now have a pvc hose coming from under the fuel tank that leads to nowhere. the boomtubes will not line up, and i have EPIC, loud exhaust leaks all over the place.



i need new overaxle pipes, the section of piping before that, new fuel system wiring, i need to figure out what the **** this hose is before i blow up, i need this hangar removed, i need new h pipe clamps.

any ideas? this is going to cost a lot[:@][:@][:@][:@] money that frankly, i don't have. my dad is thinking about going after world ford (legally) for this.

Yea I would definately go speak with the owner and explain that if your car is not put back into the correct shape, you will take legal action against them.

oh don't get me wrong, i'm EXTREMELY upset. the guy in charge of the body shop, the guy assigned to our claim, his name is Richard. the first chance i get, im gonna chew him out, but in a dignified manner. its past threats though; we will be taking legal action. they not only botched this repair job, they charged my insurance company for new parts (they didn't put in new parts) and they ****ed up things worse than pre-accident condition.



and i don't even want to think about what would have happened if the exhaust had contacted some fuel line or something.


the car will never again enter their body shop. every time i bring it back there, it comes out worse. thats why i'm nervous about any warranty work. i will be taking it to TMS, whom i trust, and billing World Ford for this.

i think you should talk w/ world ford and have them replace all the pipes brand new and line up those boomtubes right, bc it was their work that caused the leaks and all the damage and the work they did was not done to ford specs. or have the work done somewhere else and have them pay for it, bc if it wasnt for them, your exhaust wouldnt be damaged now.
i'm sorry to hear that, the guru deserves the best exhaust.....period.

You may want to talk to Ford Head office about this. I had a problem once back in 2002,I had a 91 escort with 120,000 miles. The fuel pump wiring harness burnt up on it, and there was a recall on that part. My dad was the origin owner of the car and we were never informed. Thenforddealership lost my non-run car, because theyput theZIN ofa tracer on my paper work. Then they couldn't fix the car becauseFord didn’t have the harness any more. After a few days talking with ford, they bought my car for $2,000 cash. They will work with you if you patient enough.

I don't see why Ford would have anything to do with this. It's not an issue of factory defect, recall, or failed warranty repair. It's clearly the dealership who screwed up big time. Make them pay to have this mess fixed.
