I was wondering what types of oil people were using for the GT's to get the best performance? The dealership told me that if I did not use a 5W-20 Synthetic Blend, that I would void my warranty. I was trying to find out if paying for Ford Motorcraft 5W-20 Synthetic Blend from the dealership is worth it or am I better of using another oil that can be found at Jiffy Lube, like a Castrol 5W-20 synthetic blend. Let me know what you have been using in your GT’s or what you plan to use in the future. Thanks!

For the GT, the owner's manual suggests using a synthetic blend of 5W20.

 

2500 miles on stang
using fomoco stuff still until 5000, then to mobile 1

With my car the dealership gives me a lifetime $9.95 multi-point check oilchange...guess my car will never have any oil in it other than Ford.
